Hi! I am the Earth Cap. I'm a cap from Bogota, Colombia that loves to travel! During a trip to Peru in July 2015, I came up with a crazy idea that I would love to share with the whole world! I opened an account on Instagram: theearthcap and began a series of campaigns that would get people talking about what I was up to. The premise: Have you ever seen a cap talking while traveling the Earth? I have.
You have followed me for a few weeks and seen how I have shared pics of people traveling around the Earth. I shared pics of people wearing caps in over 100 countries across the globe. These caps have seen many things, visited hundreds of new places, and heard thousands of stories. They all have one more thing in common: they can't talk!
So, I have come up with a way to make our caps talk while traveling! I have decided to name this community of talking caps: The Earth Cap! I would like to use The Earth Cap as a tool travelers can use to transmit a message: where they are, where they're headed, where they wish to go, how they feel, or who they wish to be with, what sports team they support, what musician they would like to see, what they would like to eat, etc. The Earth Cap can say whatever the person wishes to share!
It's time to make our caps talk! Now it's your turn to share a message through your cap. You can use stickers to write on your cap, or simply share a pic wearing a cap and tell us anything you want. Upload your pics on Instagram using the hashtag #theearthcap. I will gather the pics that come in every day and share them with other travelers. Every cap is an Earth Cap if you use #theearthcap!
The secret to build our community and make it grow is for everyone to share their pics and invite their friends to do so as well. This is only the beginning of an incredible journey!

Hola! Yo soy The Earth Cap. Soy una chachucha, o gorra, de Bogotá, Colombia y me encanta viajar! Durante un viaje a Perú en Julio de 2015, se me ocurrió una idea loca que quiero compartir con el mundo entero! Abrí una cuenta en Instagram: theearthcap y comencé una serie de campañas para que llamaran la atención de muchas personas. La premisa: Alguna vez has visto una Cachucha que habla mientras viaja por el mundo? Yo sí.
Me has seguido por varias semanas y has visto como comparto fotos de personas viajando por el mundo. Compartí fotos de personas usando cachuchas en mas de 100 países. Estas cachuchas han visto cosas, han visitado cientos de lugares nuevos, han oídos miles de historias. Todas tienen una cosa adicional en común: no pueden hablar!
Entonces me inventé una manera de hacer que nuestras cachuchas hablen mientras viajan! Decidñi nombrar esta comunidad de cachuchas que hablan: The Earth Cap! Me gustaría usar The Earth Cap como una herramienta para que los viajeros transmitan un mensaje: para dónde van, de dónde vienen, a que lugar quisieran ir, cómo se sienten, con quién quisieran estar, qué equipo deportivo apoyan, qué músico quisieran ver, qué quisieran comer, etc. The Earth Cap puede decir lo que sea que la persona desea compartir!
Es hora de hacer que nuestras cachuchas hablen! Ahora es tu turno de transmitir un mensaje usando tu cachucha. Puedes usar stickers para escribir en tu cachucha, o simplemente compartir una foto usando una gorra y decirnos lo que quieras. Sube tus fotos a Instagram y usa el hashtag #theearthcap. Yo reuniré las fotos que suban todos los días y las compartiré con otros viajeros. Toda cachucha es una Earth Cap si usas @theearthcap!
